I was recently selected to the Kohler’s advisory council for their newly formed preferred partner program. In addition, I had the luxury of being flown out to Kohler, Wisconsin last month to get a firsthand account of their operations and history.
I was immediately impressed to learn that Kohler was much more than a plumbing company. They had evolved over their 100 plus year history into portable power generation, hospitality, and more. Their ability to access current and forecast future market trends while controlling the advertising and marketing arm of their product spectrum was inspiring.
Kohler’s rich history was around everywhere you looked. From the immigrant housing that has since been converted to a five-star resort destination to their PGA level golf courses, it was hard not to be in awe of the magnitude and breadth of their operation.
In addition to the experience sharing and collaboration on “Best Practices”, my colleagues and I were treated to many fine cooked meals, recreational activities, and tours of their operation.
It’s a blessing to be affiliated with a vendor that is cutting edge on so many fronts and continually proves itself to be an industry leader.
