Is there a difference between Granite & Quartz counter tops?

Granite & Quartz

When #remodeling your kitchen, the #countertops are most people’s top priority. The best countertops are both low-maintenance, affordable, and durable. When considering countertop materials the obvious choices are narrowed down to #granite and #quartz.

Granite is perfect for those who want low-maintenance countertops that do not fade or discover over time. If you decide to continue your kitchen remodeling with granite, be prepared to add sealants to ensure its luster and longevity. Granite is one of the most common and preferred materials because it is durable and stain resistant. Granite is capable of withstanding heat with cooking and serving food and never shows water marks.

Quartz offers all the same benefits as granite, but they aren’t entirely natural. Quartz is often dyed for coloration because without color quartz is rather unappealing. However, the composition of quartz is uniform so it doesn’t have as many natural grains, flecks or veins as granite.
